Al Nassr Football Club, known as نادي النصر السعودي (Nasṣr meaning “Victory”) in Arabic, is a prominent Saudi Arabian professional football club based in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. The club competes in the Saudi Pro League, where they have achieved remarkable success by clinching nine titles, making them the second-most successful club in the league’s history. Additionally, they boast six King’s Cups, three Crown Prince’s Cups, three Federation Cups, and two Saudi Super Cups in their impressive trophy cabinet.

History of Al Nassr–

Established in 1955 by the Al-Ja’ba brothers, Al Nassr quickly ascended to prominence within the footballing landscape. In 1961, they secured their inaugural league title and went on to add four more league championships in the subsequent six years, solidifying their status as one of Saudi Arabia’s most accomplished clubs.

The 1990s marked a golden era for Al Nassr, during which they enjoyed sustained success, including three league titles, two King’s Cups, and a triumph in the Asian Cup Winners’ Cup. In 1998, they also reached the final of the Asian Super Cup.

In recent years, Al Nassr has maintained its competitive edge in Saudi Arabian football. They secured a third-place finish in the league during the 2022-23 season and made it to the semi-finals of the AFC Champions League.

Al Nassr commands a massive and passionate fan base, making them one of the most beloved clubs in Saudi Arabia. They call Mrsool Park their home ground, boasting a capacity of 25,000 spectators.
